Don Ceder – Community Award

Is a young, intelligent and dynamic person. His smile and especially his passion for people are his greatest attributes. This also showed when he held his master thesis about the condition of abortion in the Netherlands and made it his work to plead for the lowering of abortion legal time limit. Next to him being a board member of the ChristenUnie of Amsterdam, he is a jurist and is very busy with the preparations needed to start his own law firm. Together with a business partner he has also started up an Anti-Incasso firm with the aim to change the incasso culture of the Netherlands by fighting against illegal claims and educating their clients during incasso disputes. He spends his spare time mixing music as a DJ and evangelizing in his church and on the streets of Amsterdam. The winner of the Community award 2014 is the man who is also known as the Robin hood of Amsterdam.

John Angoh – Creativity Award

This gentleman embodies talent in many different ways. Not only does he have a bsc in architecture, but he also uses his sketching ability portraying his own drawings, photography and motivational quotes as the designer and founder of the clothing brand Amsterdam Authentics. He also expresses his creativity in his music as a singer-song-writer and producer of the record label Godsown music. With his raw soulful voice he has performed in and outside the country as a soloist, incorporating the typical African gospel rhythms with the contemporary Gospel sounds of the United States. Besides this he is very active in his church choir and in the well known ZO! Gospel choir. What is lovely about this person is that he uses his creativity to encourage the youth and that he shares his knowledge by participating in many projects and organizing different events like the annual Ethnic-Praise project! The Creativity Award goes to the multi-talented.
